Hospital Wound Care Center Receives National Award
The Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Palestine Regional Medical Center has recently been recognized with a national award for continued excellence in wound healing.
Leaders, physicians, and clinicians from the Wound Care Center got together to celebrate the Center’s receipt of the Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence award. The Center of Excellence award is rewarded to Wound Care Centers® in the Healogics network meeting the highest level of premier quality standards for at least two consecutive years.
PRMC's Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine has recently reported patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent, a healing rate of at least 91 percent, along with several other quality standards for two straight years.
In addition, the center was awarded this honor by Healogics, the nation’s leading and biggest wound care management company. Furthermore, the award is named for Dr. Warriner, a pioneer in wound care and former chief medical officer for Healogics.
Across the United States, 334 Centers were eligible and 169 Centers were honored with the award this year.
