So What Exactly is HBOT?
What exactly is HBOT? It is an acronym for HyperBaric Oxygen Therapy (Hyper=high, Baric=pressure) and is based on a simple idea—that oxygen, under pressure, can be used therapeutically for a wide range of conditions.

HBOT allows the body to incorporate more oxygen into the body’s blood cells and plasma, cerebral-spinal fluid and other body fluids. Oxygen under pressure forces more oxygen into the tissues and encourages new blood vessels to grow. Blood plasma, the liquid component of blood, can carry 100% oxygen under pressure. This increase in oxygen absorption substantially enhances the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
HBOT was developed in the early 1900's as a treatment for diving disorders involving bubbles of gas in the tissues, such as decompression sickness and gas embolism. Today HBOT is being used to successfully treat a range of conditions. Below is a comprehensive list of conditions that are being successfully treated by HBOT in homes and clinics around the world.
The Hyperbaric part of HBOT comes from the chamber itself. The air tight chamber utilizes an air compressor to fill the chamber with air until it reaches a maximum pressure, based on the rating of the chamber. Then once it achieves that level a release valve at the opposite end of the chamber releases the air at the same rate that it is now entering the chamber. As you might imagine, when you are inside your ears pop much like the sensation when you get flying.
The Oxygen part of HBOT comes from an oxygen concentrator. This allows you to maximize the effectiveness of the chamber as it allows you to breath in about 93% oxygen through a mask or a nasal cannula while you are inside the chamber. It is the combination of this oxygen and the pressure from the chamber that helps to create such powerful results.

It is the most durable and capable high-, continuous-flow stationary oxygen concentrator and it combines high pressure - 20 psi outlet pressure - with high flow to create up to 10 LPM of therapeutic oxygen.
You also don't need an oxygen chamber to benefit from oxygen therapy, you can simply use an oxygen concentrator on it's own, while watching TV or reading the newspaper. You can also use it for EWOT - or Exercise With Oxygen Therapy by incorporating the Vibratrim vibration plates and the Oxygen Concentrator together at the same time.
